We are convinced that
open means
more valuable.
We select platforms for the solutions we provide based on these criteria:
- Are appropriate elements of the platform standardized by an
independent standards body?
- Do we have enough access to the source code, protocols, and formats
of the platform such that we can study the way the platform works,
and fix problems ourselves?
- Is there an active community of users dedicated to the platform, not
just because of the Wisdom of Crowds, but because it solves real
problems? Is it just a fad, or will it still be here in 10 years?
- Is the platform robust and well-engineered? How does it compare to
any realistic alternatives?
